I love your blog! Its amazing. I was wondering if you can tell me how to measure for my bra size. I have a feeling I have no idea what I'm doing, I have bigger breasts with a small waist, I've been wearing a 34D but it just feels wrong. Thank so much, and sorry if this comes off as a bit dim, just looking for answers. Thanks again! Tae
Your question isn’t dim at all. I’m glad you asked.
Unfortunately, bra fit isn’t my area of expertise, and I’m a firm believer in directing people to the resources that are best able to help them.
hey lingerie addict! So recently I've been remeasured for a bra and it turns out that I am NOT a 34C but rather a 32DD. Lol. Anyways, since I know 32DD is such a hard size to buy cute bras for, I was wondering if i can compensate and get a 34D? or would that be a no go?
I’m sorry, but I’m gonna have to be a little stern here…buy bras in your size. Sister sizing (which involves cup volume) does not replace buying a bra in your correct band and cup size.
Yesterday was my first Anniversary with my boyfriend, and he got me the Mosh Playsuit from Dottie's Delights! I am ecstatic, it is the sexiest thing I have ever worn and I definitely want to take good care of it. For hand washing mesh lingerie, what soap do you recommend?
Happy Anniversary! Since the Mosh playsuit is mostly nylon, a hosiery wash will help it retain its strength. I recommend Hosiery Mate, which you can purchase form $5 from Sock Dreams. It’s a no-rinse wash, and it’s biodegradable.
Thank you so much for the link! It's hard to find a bra in my size that doesn't look like it's made for an old lady. It's always sucked seeing my friends buy cute $20 VS bras when all I could find were expensive ones that looked like something my Nana would wear. There's nothing worse than being embarrassed by what's under your clothes and now I don't have to be. Lingerie Addict, you've given me hope. :)
New Blog Post! Swimwear Suggestions for Curvy Women
"Swimsuit season is here, which means sounds either exciting or dreadful depending on how you feel about swimsuit shopping. I love swimsuit shopping online because I feel like it takes the dread out of the process. You don’t have to browse through a bunch of stuff that isn’t you and there isn’t any body awkwardness if you’re trying things on in the privacy of your own home. So, it really shouldn’t be a surprise that all of the swimsuits I love this season are readily available online!
I love the vintage look as much as anyone, but I’m thrilled to see so many styles of swimwear this season that work for curvier women. More and more bra sized swimwear is also being produced, which makes shopping for a swimsuit that fits a relatively painless process.”
Lingerie Addict, I have a problem. My chest is big but my ribcage is small. I'm a 30F and have a helluva time finding a bra (especially one that's affordable). Any suggestions? I'm running out of luck and I'm afraid that soon I'll be an even poorer college student from buying my $125 bras. Thanks in advance, love.
Envy Being jealous of someone else’s lingerie (this also includes being jealous of their figure). Let me tell you, there is no better time to be a lingerie addict than right now. The 21st century has a bigger variety of sizes, a wider range of colors, and better quality fabrics than any other time in the past 100 years. There is no reason whatsoever to wear lingerie that doesn’t make you look and feel like a goddess.
Wrath Hating on other people’s lingerie. Yes, I know g-strings aren’t your thing. Yes, I know you prefer stockings over pantyhose. But there is no reason to call people who wear those items by bad names or to create entire web forums, discussion boards, and blogs dedicated to badmouthing those people. And for all the folks who think they’re getting away with something because they’re “anonymous”…an anonymous asshole is still an asshole.
