"A word on "Curves" 1 (n): All bodies have curves. Outside of elbows, I have yet to see a body built of right angles. I get "Real Women Have Curves" is, like empowerment training wheels and stuff, but the way to self-esteem and collective empowerment is NOT thru responding to hate with re-branded hate. To rob a body of it’s ‘real-ness’ or ‘woman-ness’ based on small size is just as shitty as making big size a source of spite and invisibility. Shaming is not sexy, no matter what the size packaging."

This is the most stupid fucking thing I’ve seen all day.
1. Way to objectify a woman (simply put).
2. I get you’re trying to be more body positive towards bigger girls, but you’re being counter intuitive because you’re making thin girls feel unworthy, comparing them to useless attire. Women come in all shapes and sizes, and just because there is a stigma towards overweight girls or just bigger curvier girls in general, it doesn’t mean that it is okay to make them feel better by means of degrading and hating on smaller girls. You are giving thin girls more reason to hate themselves, as if the media hasn’t done enough harm. Everyone has the right to love their own body but it isn’t okay to leech upon the happiness of others.
3. You don’t know where to put your hands? What about around her shoulder? Hold her hand? Don’t touch her at all?
You can shove your hands up your misogynistic ass. Go fuck yourself.

Trina’s commentary. All this hateful nonsense is doing, is stipulating a new set of standards that women feel like they have to live up to, instead of promoting body love across the board. I get that larger/curvier women are told not to take up space, called undesirable, not selected for high fashion house modelling as often, even bullied in their everyday life, but the way to love yourself is not through stomping on your fellow women, it’s by acknowledging that the patriarchy which defines your body as unacceptable is in the wrong.
Instead of reinforcing a system whereby women’s bodies are put on trial - which will be used to oppress you in the future, don’t kid yourself - dismantle the system.

Are You Bitches Serious ? Its A Fucking Picture . No One Is Saying There’s anything Wrong With Thin, Fat, Skinny, ect Women . ITS JUST A FUCKING PICTURE . How Bout You Become Less Insecure With Yourselves Before Opening Up Your Irrelevant Mouths . Smh, Damn Man People Can’t Say Anything , Put Pictures Up, Write Something, Without Bitches Like Ya Getting All Sensitive . Grow The Fuck Up .

I’m going to clarify something for you, since you’ve called me a bitch in such a hostile manner, so listen closely. A picture can express a harmful message. Yes, this is a picture, but it has harmful implications. It is suggesting there is something wrong with thin bodies, that they are as undesirable and useless as jeans without pockets. If you cannot see that connection in the picture, that is your own problem.I’m a curvaceous woman. I have what are commonly defined as curves, and this picture does not make me insecure in the least. That is not the problem here for me, so try again. The problem is that this picture is shaming thin bodies, suggesting they are not as good as curvaceous bodies, and that is never okay. That is bad. I am not criticising it because I’m upset it’s excluding me (and even if I was, that would be ok because this picture shames people and they are allowed to be upset). I am criticising it because it oppresses women. How about you read the commentary before firing back with hateful, ignorant, actually irrelevant to the thread bullshit? You put something on a public forum, you open it up to criticism. People are ALLOWED TO CRITICISE YOUR OPINIONS AND THE PICTURES YOU POST. If you didn’t want to invite criticism, you should have printed it up and glued it on your wall where only you could see it. Your sense of entitlement and lack of critical engagement with the writing before spitting back a defence is ridiculous

You could explain as clearly, and simply as possible, and people this utterly stupid wouldn’t be able to understand. Just one look at her (yes, her) tumblr shows how lobotomised she is.
